Because that's the point of being a wrestler. That's the measuring stick. How many people are enticed by a worker being on the card to come see the show so they can give the company their money.
If the company isn't turning a profit, if the company isn't drawing additional eyes, then Okada isn't doing jack shit, no matter how much y'all masturbate over him.
Tony has a lot of money. But even billions of dollars aren't infinite. AEW needs to become profitable soon or it's just not going to last and, yes, I think that's a bad thing. And this type of crap is hastening the demise.
I care more about the well-being of AEW than you so-called "fans" do.
