I think there are people within Israel that are open to it, but then you have state actors like Netanyahu who are on record as purposely sabotaging peace efforts. That has, in turn, only emboldened Hamas and their supporters, which of course incites more Israelis So the situation is fucked, no doubt, but I think the average person is certainly more attenable to it, especially if things were to deescalate for a while. Like always, it's the politicians who cockblock any real efforts and won't see progress without a change in leadership.
As is though, there's no reason to get involved. This is a heel program between those two.
