>>14991640This is what AEW fan doesn't get about their Timeslot cope, if it's not making the network money it doesn't matter. And the head-in-sand insistence that only THE DEMO pays money, and that advertising to 50+ doesn't exist (or something) is almost pathological. It's unhinged behavior.
AEW is a TV14 (strike1) wrestling program (strike2) with gratuitous swearing, violence and real blood (strike3), and now women are rubbing their breasts against each other, which is hot af but also another strike. 700-900k and around a .25-.30 is great for sports, for nature shows, for a reality show about a country singer and their boring family. When you already have strikes against you, you need more. It has to be more.
AEW on their current deal, I'm sure AEW isnt unhappy. But if theye looking at a 30-50% increase, i dont know how happy WBD can be in the face of an accelerated ratings and viewership decline. If WBD can pay 1/2 of the money to have a game show, alternative sports or reality show slop and still be 3rd/4th ranked, it has to be explored.
