Can't be a promo mark. I'm a promo guy too, but you need to like the wrestling aspect as well. Ilja's legit pretty good in the ring. His intensity and illusion of power are pretty compelling. His promos ain't bad either. I think he'll surpass Goonta in no time.

Why nobody chants "USA! USA! USA!" when he's in the ring. He's billed from Russia. Why noone mentions on RAW that he can be a Russian spy. Like there's whole networks of Russian agents in Austria and Bulgaria. Also his salary in kayfabe can sponsor war and terrorism.
