Wrestling is niche enough but these Meltzer guys are a niche of a niche. The idea of fake fighting is most enjoyed as some "legit athletic" exhibition that you use a scorecard to judge is so goddamn brainworm.

I'm starting to think an inconsistently booked roster, awful sports entertainment style storylines, and 20 minute heatless matches with tons of botches, no selling and convoluted spots isn't the alternative to WWE people were asking for.

Honestly this direction that AEW is heading with increased storytelling isn't working. I think AEW should revert to what they do best, and that is to put on great matches. Plus, more tournaments and crossovers from other promotions wouldn't hurt too!

Metlzer doesn't even want that though. He wants none of the pageantry and "sports entertainment" but also wants nonsensical, unrealistic circus routines over anything resembling a legit athletic competitive fight.
