Yea. No one expected a 500k rating. A lot of people said it would hit 600k consistently by the end of the year but hitting 500k proves it is completely over. Even TNA gave WWE more of a scare in the 2000's. AEW was done 3 years in and by 5, is already at Impact on Destination America level

'perception' is a hard thing to overcome. Look at the people here that shit on AEW 24/7. I'm not gonna lie and say it doesn't have an impact on peoples perception. Humans are fragile beings even the AEW die-hards must be feeling it. It's actually sad because if AEW turns into just another TNA WWE will become complacent again and the wrestlers leverage becomes almost non-existent. I watched WWE when there was no competition and it was borderline unwatchable at times.

TNA wasn’t competing on any level with WWE. AEW were light years ahead in terms of giving WWE a real scare. Vince stepping down saved the company Dynamite rivalling Raw.
