>>15026912If you buy a ticket to Smackdown, you know you're all but guaranteed to see Orton, Cody, Bloodline, etc. AEW doesn't have a hard or soft roster split, wrestlers are everywhere across 3 different shows/days. If you buy a ticket to Collison, what guarantees are there? None.
For the TV shows, they're doing a better job announcing matches/segments ahead of time but they don't always flow week to week. You might get Samoa Joe - or he might do his weekly promo/match on Collision instead. You might decide to skip going to Collision in your area because there's nothing announced ahead of time and you need a full 1 week to ask for the day off - and you miss Will Ospreay vs Penta, or another banger of a match.
This is one of those situations you can't just say "all wrestling companies do this", they really don't. NWA, TNA and MLW are too small for it to apply - everyone doesn't get matches, but there's promos/interviews/angles all over the weekly programs. NJPW, AAA, CMLL do weekly events, not scripted/formatted weekly TV shows. WWE has a roster split where, if exceptions are made, guys are more likely to appear on 2+ shows in the same week vs hopping between shows.
AEW is highly confusing for TV viewers and for show attendees to follow, unless and until they commit to watching 5+ hours of programming plus ROH, to fully keep up with everything going on. It's a lot to ask for and many fans are saying No.
