It's not about what they could do, HBK COULD have done what Bret did, but he didn't. Why? Bret wasn't an exceptional athlete, a LOT of people COULD have just "done what Bret did". But they didn't. Why? Because Bret cared more about making everything look convincing, he cared about the miniscule parts of a match that put them together as convincing contests.
Ospreay does not. He COULD do what Bret did, and he could do a lot more, because he is more athletic, but he doesn't, because he's a shitter who doesn't even make half of his moveset look good. Why should I care about what he could do when his own finishing move routinely looks trash because he's a quantity-over-quality retard?
This doesn't apply to Shingo, AJ or Omega as I think they all have legitimate cases to be made against Bret, but Ospreay is absolutely leagues beneath in that he doesn't bother to even make the majority of the things he does in the ring look convincing or impactful. They're just things he does.
