It's absolutely true as it pertained to Bray. In fact, the only reason I, myself, am optimistic is because that fat shitter isn't attached. He'd constantly roll out an interest gimmick and then immediately bury it with his in-ring and creative.

Bo can actually work, so I have more confidence in him than Bray.
The problem with Bray is that he didn't work as a babyface, nor a heel. Even when he'd be the heel in a program, he never fucking worked like it. Bray had zero psychology.

Bo could actually work. He just never had The Look to go with it. But thats how he got the B-Team over, charismatic comedy promos and in-ring work.

He was a fat neckbeard in a trilby; he looked like a redditor and cut empty, meandering promos. As for the in-ring, again, he employed no psychology and was often carried through tag matches by Harper and especially Rowan, the best worker of the three.
Ironically, him wrestling as a "fat lumbering fuck" as the Fiend was him actually trying. Watch him close--he's trying to wrestle like a monster, like Kane or someone. But he failed at that to because he just did not get it. He didn't know how to work. I'd say he didn't know how to promo, but his return promo before he died was GOAT'd, so I'd say he just didn't know what was supposed to be important in a promo. He sucked. His talent was coming up with a few creative ideas that seemed like they'd be cool to do in wrestling, that was it.

bray's problem was that he either never won when it mattered or he was booked into a corner. things might be different with bo but i honestly don't expect anyone here to hold their breath on the matter.

at the end of the day it's a tribute act. i don't think he's going to job like bray did but i don't expect a funhouse match with cody for the undisputed title either.

Bray could work well enough as well. The problem was when he leaned too much into the spooky shit that it was impossible to work the character without hurting the gimmick. I know Taker made it work but there's a reason hes pretty much the only one.
