There have been better blacks on commentary. I feel like I’m being gaslit by people trying to tell me Booker is even remotely ok, let alone good.

i'm a bit of a commentary autist. it's one of the most important parts of wrestling imo. here are my thoughts on all the current commentators in wwe/aew.

the best:
>wade barrett
absolute best colour commentary guy in the biz right now, incredibly funny, has chemistry with everyone and is amazing at putting over the talent. helps that he's a former wrestler too which adds credibility, also has a great voice for this.
>corey graves (play-by-play)
shockingly great at this role, better than he was at colour. tones down his schtick a lot and actually comments on the match and does a great job at putting over everyone. very knowledgeable about wrestling history but not in a way thats tryhard.

hilarious on commentary, was great in nxt and great in aew. big problem is that he relies way too much on schtick and it can distract from the match he's calling. one of the most knowledgeable commentators there is though when he's reigned in.
>vic joseph
good albeit a little generic. he operates best as a straight men to bigger personalities. he was good with wade and he's good with booker (even though I think they hate each other) on his own in a vacuum though he's underwhelming and has some annoying lines every week
>michael cole
he's a legend at this point and is clearly having the best time of his life. his problem is that his age is catching up to him and he's a bit forgetful now. just seeing him be free from vince is good enough though, happy for the lad. he looks like he's having a blast with pat. i think he acts a little desperate for pats friendship sometimes but its also kinda fun.

WAY too much schtick, heels it up far too much and takes away from the match. he only does this on ple's these days but it gets tiring quick.

he is a fucking retard who is also hilarious. him and vic clearly hate eachother. he would be unlistenable anywhere else other than NXT which somehow fits him perfectly
