>>15045287Russo was pure kino. He was responsible for the attitude era. McMahon sucks left to his own devices, as evidenced by WWE programming since 2010 when Shawn Michaels retired and the stars Russo helped elevate died out. We haven't seen a good original idea since. Just the same recycled gimmicks like Vladimir Kozlov into Rusev and so on.
WCW with Russo only lost because of the fact it was the old timers show, and fans of both companies were content watching Nitro for an hour before switching to Raw. Russo helped elevate and make stars of guys like The Rock who were the future, and their stories werent written yet.
WCW had a roster where guys like Hogan, Savage, Piper, and so on had already carved out their legacies. So expecting them to be more intriguing tv and win the viewers was like expecting another KISS Greatest Hits album to be more sought after than the new Metallica original album.
And here we are 25 years later still talking about Judy Bagwell on a pole and Bash at the Beach. Russo made iconic pro wrestling moments. Can you name one good story WWE has had since 2010?
