All these documentaries are revisionist bullshit. They had an entire segment in the Attitude Era one dedicated to discrediting Vince Russo. Despite being their head writer for 2.5 years he apparently was responsible for nothing good and the show going to shit after he left is pure coincidence.
They even trotted out Jericho to deliver the "McMahon filter" line. He'd certainly know having worked with Russo for 4 whole months. The same Jericho who previously described in great detail in his book how Russo got him his WWF job, worked extensively with him on his character and debut, wrote outlines for his promos when he struggled early on, and was one of his few advocates when the locker room politicians were trying to oust him.
