>>15052773The Bryan matches are two of the best things AEW has ever done but the Cole match was awful (not Hangman's fault really) and outside of the Punk schizo stuff he was barely on TV to build to the defenses. I liked the Lance Archer TDM too but they shouldn't have run another one so soon with Cole even if the crown of thorns spot was based. Dante match was forgettable and did nothing for Dante who's a perma-jobber anyway.
He honestly deserved better. He's not a very good talker, but he's a likable underdog who's unpolished but very explosive in the ring, and was the center of one of the rare times AEW gave someone a proper story with a real ending. He should be one of the "pillars" of AEW by now but he's barely anyone these days. I like him a hundred times more than I like Ospreay, MJF or Swerve, and he's the only one in that BTE orbit who isn't totally poisoned by irony and memes.
