Dude has been through hell growing up. His mom was an addict I believe. Made him street smart in a way that people like CM Punk could never be. He knows life isn’t worth burning bridges with everyone. He doesn’t chimp out like many of his former colleagues.

I rip on him for blading too much and his ring work admittedly makes him look soft. Weak strikes and what not. Not a fan of AEW in general either.
But I'd imagine he's actually pretty tough given how he grew up. Sometimes you throw weak looking shots because you legitimately don't want to hurt someone and just never learned to make the fake ones look right.
