Well, he was supposed to have a feud with Lashley. But he got hurt. So his main roster run started rocky already. They slotted in Knight in that feud. Which was a terrible idea. Since Knight ate him alive on the mic. Which is not his fault. Melo is still new. And WWE shouldn't have put him against Knight. But it seems like he's slowly getting back on track

nxt is a magic trick played on your brain.

it's easy to pretend and be featured as a star when there arent any others around to compare with cuz they got called to the main roster. when you're on the same roster they are, you have to compete and you cant really teach that.

look at christian. hes awesome in tna and amazing in aew. but disappears in every wwe run.

This literally happens to everyone that comes from NXT since 2012. Melo, just like everyone else, with the exception of a few, will be mid card till he gets over with TV and arena audiences.
