>>15078003Agreed, it's nice getting big marquee matches i.e. title defenses on TV and we seem to be getting that a lot more recently. Both Raw and Smackdown have been stacked for weeks with something happening every segment. Nothing wrong with making PPVs special and you would be stupid to deny that HHH has been doing that. Make them prestigious with just 5 or 6 marquee matches that people have to fight for a spot in.
I have a feeling these people are mostly younger fans who don't really appreciate what wrestling is and have been indoctrinated by popular IWC smark talking points. They don't appreciate that build up is as important as payoff and that less is sometimes more. A card with 5 or 6 decent length matches with no piss breaks is perfect.
I also see no problem with a champion only defending 5 or 6 times in a year like Lesnar or Reigns did, or more recently Logan Paul. Boxers and MMA fighters defend their titles 2 or 3 times per year at most. I don't hate title defenses just like I don't hate chocolate cake. Doesn't mean I want to eat chocolate cake every single day. I'll eat it once in a while and thus enjoy it more.
People will call this a cope though so I'm wasting my breath probably. There will be someone who can't begin to comprehend the idea of not wanting more of everything all the time just because you enjoy it.
