It's a bit different to the standard DDT. There are some wrestlers who famously post for those, Jeff Hardy and RVD come to mind, but the difference is with a DDT you are driving your back directly downward onto the mat with considerable impact so it looks good even without a post. With the Cross Rhodes however you're rolling into it, meaning there is no impact to the bump and the only thing making it look remotely good is if the receiver posts for it.
