DESU AEW's slide into shit started after Double or Nothing '22. They waited until the very last minute to build towards Forbidden Door. Even though the matches on the show were great, the build to the show was atrocious. Real AEW niggas who actually watch the product every week knows what i'm on about senpai. Also I think Tony switched from AAA to CMLL because they have a woman's division. Mercedes wants two belts and she needs a reason to wrestle in Mexico. Part of the allure of working in AEW is that they have more time to work other promotions if they want to. Most of the people "sitting at home collecting a paycheck" are still working indies like they used to. Their AEW contract allows them to survive as independent wrestlers.
