I'm literally so upset I can't breathe.
Why couldn't you guys just enjoy wrestling. For twenty years the IWC has waited for an alternative to the WWE. For twenty years, Vince McMahon wiped his shit-smeared ass on the sport we all know and love, transforming it from mainstream entertainment everyone loved into an absolute joke.
Twenty years us wrestling fans waited. Then came Tony Khan. He never claimed to be the best wrestling booker. Or the best businessman. But he had one goal. He wanted to provide that alternative, and he wanted to create a wrestling company built with one purpose in mind: fun. Just fun for the fans, fun for the wrestlers, fun for him. He hired the very best from around the world to provide it for us, men and women who could entertain the wrestling fans with feats of acrobatics and athletic prowess that wouldn't involve storylines with crap like blacks cucking other men's wives or superstars eating dog food or even mystery GMs.
Real wrestling. Done by real men and women who love wrestling and who are willing to put their bodies on the line for the crowds.
You had no reason to hate it. You hated it because it was different. You hated it because Vince brainwashed you that WWE was the only acceptable form of pro-wrestling, that there could be no room for an alternative. And in your hatred for that alternative, you brought it down, shaming the sheep-minded into no longer watching it, brainwashing them into turning it off entirely.
Rest in peace, AEW. Rest in peace, our one hope for an alternative. I'll miss you.
