>>15157906My only problem is that Bron was booked too strong and had too much momentum going into the match. Now that he lost, but also CLEAN, where does that leave him? With another "I'll get you next time" promo and demanding a rematch or whatever? Here's how I'd do it.
DQ finish, caused by Gunther. See, Gunther doesn't want the IC title back. He now considers it beneath him, as a manner of hidden coping, as he sets his eyes on the Heavy title at Summerslam. No, he simply arrives in the ring, no music. Like a casual stroll in the park. He stands close to the ring, and Sami is getting increasingly more paranoid as the match continues. This distraction leads to him getting sideswiped and receiving a hellacious beatdown by Bron, but Sami's tenacious spirit refuses to let him get pinned. Just as the fight seems over, and a battered Sami attempts to pin Breakker, Gunther steps in and starts going to TOWN on Sami. Beats him so bad his body welts all over. The ref rings the bell, no DQ. Sami is left in shambles, while Bron has been left out of gas and only gains strength once Gunther is far enough away.
Now it's Raw, Gunther is interviewed. "Why did you attack Sami?"
>Well you see, the answer is quite simple. I am past the IC title. But losing it... still stings a little. So I figured to ease my worries, I would humiliate Sami Zayn in his home country, after being away for so long, and to hear the cries and shrieks of his people as I destroyed him - it brought me a great satisfaction. That is all. Then it protects both Sami and Bron's momentum. You can have Bron approach Gunther, demanding answers, only for Gunther to snap back.
>Listen, mad dog, the only reason I attacked Sami Zayn and not you is because I despise him more. It would bring me joy seeing him beaten and stripped of the title I made so sacred. Besides, consider it a gift. Now you have personal data on Sami Zayn, and can use it for your next fight. You're welcome.
