Normally I'd like what we saw last night with Drew. This time around it was the most predictable thing though, so it kinda fell flat for me. We were told outright Drew was winning, was cashing in, and so Punk screwing him was the logical conclusion.

Eh, we all knew it was going to happen. But it ties into his character - he fails because of his hubris. Anyone else would have figured Punk would interfere, but not Drew.
Not having the MITB winner on the table means they don't have to factor it in when they book other things. I don't see it as a waste. It'll freshen it up for next year.
