MITB was my first time watching WWE in like 3 years, and I’m going to give it to you straight: AEW may be for trannies, but WWE is legitimately programming for children and slow adults. You literally have to have compromised mental functioning to be over the age of 15 and enjoy this. Every single aspect of the presentation is designed to make it maximally appealing to children and adults with Downs Syndrome: that’s why every single thing, from the way they talk, to the way they move, to the chants they lead, happens in this hyper-stylized, repetitive and predictable way that is purposefully structured to be easily digestible for low IQ people. It’s actually somewhat surreal to watch it as a non-brain-damaged adult; it feels so ritualized and cult-like because it’s literally not meant to be processed by someone with a fully functioning mind.
