Their debut was a mass murder horror movie bloodbath scene and the next week one of the victims had a bandage on his head but was fine. The follow-up to the debut was a shitty pre-recoeded video of a guy talking to himself. I mean this group visibly looked like shit from the jump with the Halloween masks, but their first two weeks did them absolutely zero favors as far as convincing anyone to take them even remotely seriously as a kayfabe threat in this CINEMATIC wrestling company for children and retards. A bad premise for a faction booked horribly beyond repair.

Probably by having the guy they showed bloodied and unconscious show up the next week and wrestle like he was perfectly fine and it never happened. 5 people couldn't even keep Chad Gable out for a week? Long term storytelling doesn't mean

You can do a lot of stuff every week and still do long term storytelling. It's been 10 weeks of QR codes, promos, and a fake debut, that's an absurd amount of time to take to actually do any one single thing

The guy who they had stalking the announcer in Impact? It kind of worked with the campy B-Movie wannabe low cost impact vignettes, like the witches/horror thing they were doing with the women's division. But not in a lavishly produced WWE environment where they're literally presented like a Rob Zombie movie.

A good example of slow burn booking is Kane's debut and first storyline. It took almost 6 months between his debut and his match with the Undertaker, but literally every week was this massive monster dude coming out and laying waste to whoever was in the ring. So the fans actually got excited for his match against Taker. They also didn't rely on the mystical stuff as much, sure they had the part where they shot lightning at each other but most of Kane's threat came from him being a 7 foot 330 pounder who looked like he was chiseled out of granite and also had a cool psycho gimmick which was actually threatening because, again, who the fuck wants to fight a 7 foot 330 pound crazy guy who looks like greek god?

I thought Biker Taker was so dumb when I was young but the older I get the more genius I think it is. He returned to his roots as a Western story archetype (the town undertaker to biker drifter) and avoided being completely dead-ended in the satanist/cult gimmick. The Limp BIzkit theme was still atrocious though
