AEW fan got far too cocky after 'the system' forcibly silenced and removed thousands of detractors for them during AEW's 2019 ascent. You can only astroturf for so long until the dissent comes bubblin' to the surface

AEW had a chance to make the greatest wrestling video game in decades, and fumbled it for a money-grab meme project full of glitches and lame minigames. If they had held out for another year, added another 50 wrestlers, tested the shit out of the project -- and REFUSED TO STOP SIGNING CHECKS until the glitches were fixed -- they would be in a much better place.

It's a post hoc rationalization. Wrestling can never be for refined tastes. It's an event of mass consciousness. Their few remaining fans don't really bother me because I mostly suspect that Tina is a fake wrestling fan. One who came from a Luciferian incubator to destroy any independent part of the economy.

Literally the only thing Tina had to do was hire AKI and then tell them to take the No Mercy engine, update the graphics, add internet multiplayer, and give it a deep CAW mode. Instead he hired an utterly washed up Yuke's and told them "so uh like make a wrestling game, okay? you'll have no supervision btw", and of course they sensed a retarded money mark, so they milked him for millions of dollarydoos while doing the lowest effort work possible and delivered an utter piece of shit on purpose because why even bother trying when Tina will pay you vast riches to do a horrible job.

They fucked both their company and the game up at the same time. Then when people told them how to save both, they doubled down on the bad stuff for each:

The idea people keep putting out now is "WWE needs competition to be good" and "AEW is another place for wrestlers to earn a living". Neither of these things are exclusive to AEW. There is no point in supporting a bad show that is vanity product like AEW because of either of those points. Other companies could fill in as competition without AEW existing. Other places could offer work. The truth is AEW has crippled all other competition. In 5 years Tony has absolutely raided and gutted MLW and NJPW. His partnerships with TNA and NJPW have done nothing but make their main titles look like props for mid card guys and secondary titles to his fed's titles. No one has been elevated by partnering with AEW. This cope of being exposed to more fans. Worse, Tony has absolutely inflated contracts for talent to the point where there is no middle ground anymore. Only WWE and AEW can afford free agents. Everyone else is left scrounging. The indies have been gutted too because Tony pays indie guys as if they are sure fire vets. He is the worst thing to have happened to wrestling's economy in decades.

This. The middle market for new talent to make a name for themselves is completely gone because of AEW. Everyone Triple H featured on his NXT were guys who already had considerable momentum on the indies and elsewhere before joining. There are no more indie incubators. That scene has been strip mined because of AEW monopolizing the excess inventory and doing nothing good with it.

There are tons of indie devs who could have delivered a better game on a fraction of the budget. The sad thing is that they could go with a different developer, release a great game and people will ignore it because the brand is now damaged.

Tony unironically did the right thing hiring the fuckers who have consistently been making wrestling games for years. His mistake was treating everyone like friends and not cracking the whip. He should’ve seen the writing on the wall when that team threw a bitchfit, took all their assets and left WWE 2k20 a broken mess without even trying to negotiate with the WWE to at least finish their game because they knew Tony Khan was looking for a developer.
