I think the way Cena does it is right, provided that his opponents would not got punished for firing back. If you can't adapt and protect your character, then are you really a world champion calibre talent? I can think of a lot of shitters that would lose all of their luster if they were put in an uncomfortable situation on the mic: MJF, Seth, Swerve, Dijak...etc. They are clearly stiff, and 9/10 would sink.
Of course I'm not saying that it should be applied to everybody. If you have a great athletic specimen, like a Batista for example, and he's already over, then burying him would be counterintuitive. But those aforementioned guys like to think they're hot shit, running their mouth around as if they're already made men, when really all they do is lower people's standards of a 1% top guy.
