>>15230942no, other than a few brief periods and a few stints by really popular wrestlers, it's been arguably more popular than cmll and aaa in mexico ever since smackdown and raw got prime time slots in televisa and tv azteca in the mid 00s while cmll and aaa only had saturday and sunday morning slots on a jobber channel no one watched. back in the day everyone, even people who didn't give a single fuck about wrestling, knew who orton, batista, cena, punk, etc were. after that they fell off but so did aaa and cmll, but they're getting hot again, specially in these times when aaa keeps booking the same old sawdusted boomers that they had on the cards 30 years ago and cmll is its own thing, consistent but smaller. shows sell well enough even though the cheapest tickets are 5x or so what a cmll ticket costs. they get more mainstream media coverage.
