Isn't it crazy how in 50 years WWE has had two people who have ever increased viewership? Everyone else has seen a decline or at best held on to viewers temporarily.

Outside of those two eras, WWF/E went out of its way to sabotage itself and its wrestlers. Hogan and Austin were a product of WWF at war time, and of different parts of the territories (Hogan, main; Austin, tail end) aka the most dimes era of wrestlers EVER.

Not too shocking. I feel like that's pretty true for most forms of media. Majority of it is garbage or meh, but occasionally there's a freak outlier that is able to break through the bubble of its own medium and really branch out to take on a life of its own.
