Probably not. UFC fans were already starting to check out of phony fake tough guy wrestling by 2002-2003. They were long gone by this point.

Wrestling fans were not ratings-obsessed faggots at the time. Most people just thought this was stupid on Taker/WWE’s part since it didn’t actually get Brock to come back and made them look desperate.

TNA was much better competition than AEW. TNA at its peak got like 4 million viewers before and was averaging 2.2 milly a show.
