>>15238019This is the real reason. There are now 3 separate youtube videos of Corny calling black people the n-word with malice and then bragging about it later to other white people. His favorite place to brag about it was Smokey Mountain Fan Week where he met a young Brian Last, so Last is very aware of this.
But you can be any level of racist and get away with if if you pretend to be left wing. The guy who drew happy merchant and bix nood and all that old racist /b/ and /pol/ shit was an uncancelled well respected liberal underground artist his whole career. All he had to do was say, "It's a parody of the REAL racists." Jim doesn't even have that defense since the videos are of him using it on actual black people with malice, not ironically or satirically. So he has to keep this performative over-liberal shit up forever or the other radical leftists will cancer them. He basically is safe as long as he stays as radical as the cancel crowd.
>>15238356It's an old southern thing, was probably part of his character at one point. In the south/Appalachian region you have 3 classes of white people, good old boys running things (conservative), carpetbagger professionals (liberal), redneck labor (conservative). Corny is basically a stock character, while the redneck and the fatcat republican are making money in a mutual relationship, the liberal professional sees the relationship as exploitative and looks down on the redneck because the redneck does a job the professional wouldn't do. This shines through in Corny's continue degrading of low-income working class professions like gardeners, linemen, and mechanics.
