>>15238197Sculptured Software's WWF trilogy for SNES/Sega Genesis. WWF Super Wrestlemania, WWF Royal Rumble, and WWF Raw. There's also a Sega-CD version, Rage In the Cage, with a much larger roster and voice acting.
SNES version has better colors and music, Genesis version runs at a higher resolution, has a higher framerate, and generally controls better. The SNES version of the first one should be avoided at all costs because they didn't have time to add the finishers. Genesis was the lead platform. Raw/Rage in the Cage is the best of the 3, largest roster, unique movesets for all wrestlers, 6 button pad support, 4 player multiplayer on Genesis.
These were the only good wrestling games until WCW vs NWO. Sports games in general sucked on PS1 and N64 until like 1998 so a lot of sports heads stayed on Genesis. A lot of people thought Soccer and Hockey games didn't get good again until PS2, but WCW vs NWO and Smackdown made us stop playing the Genesis game. I vaguely remember trying to get my friend to learn WWF Attitude for PS1, but he hated the controls so we went back to this.
