>Ryo Mizunami to Compete in the Tokyo Princess Cup!
>The Tokyo Princess Cup, a singles tournament held annually by Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling in the summer, will commence at the July 28 Ryogoku KFC Hall event (with the finals on August 25 at Korakuen Hall).
>Unlike title matches, this tournament determines the strongest Tokyo Joshi wrestler at that time. This year, 19 wrestlers will compete. Upon the announcement of the participants, I couldn't help but shout in surprise when I saw Ryo Mizunami's name among them.
>In the past 10 Tokyo Princess Cups, participants have been either wrestlers from Tokyo Joshi or freelancers who primarily compete in Tokyo Joshi. Mizunami, who frequently participates in other promotions as a freelancer, is the first of her kind to enter.
>Although Mizunami occasionally makes guest appearances in Tokyo Joshi, and even became a tag champion with Yuki Aino at the January 4 Korakuen Hall event this year, her last appearance was at the March 31 Ryogoku Kokugikan event. Therefore, she remains a special guest wrestler for Tokyo Joshi.
>Mizunami, along with Zara Zakher, the first foreign participant in this tournament, marks the debut of guest wrestlers in the Tokyo Princess Cup. Mizunami reportedly exclaimed, "Yes!" with joy when approached about participating and accepted immediately.
>"This is the first time a freelancer like me, who competes in other promotions, is entering the Princess Cup. It's an incredible honor, and I have no reason to decline!" (Mizunami)
>When I heard about Mizunami's participation, I immediately wondered about what would follow the tournament. Most of the past Princess Cup winners have gone on to challenge for the Princess of Princess Championship, the pinnacle of Tokyo Joshi.
>It's only natural to aim for victory once you're competing. So, what does Mizunami think about challenging for the PoP title if she wins the tournament?
