Hell, it's been well documented that Warner/Discovery doesn't give a shit about Ring of Honor, repeatedly told Tony to fuck off when he tried to get TV time on TNT and TBS for Ring of Honor, and who has repeatedly told Tony to stop pushing ROH shit on AEW TV. To the point that it's been long rumored that one of the chief reasons WHY Tony doesn't have a new TV deal with Warner/Discovery is that Tony has been trying to get that ROH TV show/streaming deal as a non-negotiable contract demand that Warner/Discovery must agree to no matter what financial deal is ultimately agreed to.
>>15253694Not that. The real issue for him buying Ring of Honor has always been that the very first "proof of concept" show of AEW, the original "All In" from before Tony got involved and created AEW with the Elite.
As part of the complicated series of deals to get the live show a reality, The Elite agreed to basically let Ring of Honor own the show lock stock and barrel in exchange for letting the Elite basically book it. Omega, Cody, and the Bucks were all terrified that Vince would buy ROH just to own that show and basically turn it into lost media purely out of spite and malice. Hence Tony overpaying for Ring of Honor.
