For the amount of money those two get, they should pretty much do a 180 minute match incomparison to legendary matches like Steamboat and Flair, but I digress from the money - it's essentially just showing off and ego driven that we can do this long thing we planned on week ago and gonna go out there, not necessarily to sell the house or make good tv but to make a "meaningful" match for their resumes. But we know there's 25 guys from the roster in the back and triple that amount sitting at home watching two of the top paid guys hogging the screentime like two little mini-jerichos.
There's no "art through adversity" in this set up, it's not a desperate measure to fill time for no-shows or something long awaited. It's just doing it because your cocky about your cardio.
