I'm just saying that, at the end of the day, it was New Japan, booking them in matches, promoting them, putting them in storylines, etc that established them as stars.
Because being a good wrestler isn't enough. Knowing how to work isn't enough. If you're not pushed properly and put in high profile matches, you're really not a *star* in any sense of the word. New Japan established these guys well enough that domestic *and* foreign audiences wanted to see them. No one cared about them when they came out of CMLL -- that's not a knock on CMLL in even the slightest, it wasn't CMLL's job to build New Japan's stars for them.
