pros and cons of the 3 main NA bookers

No.15283638 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
HHH
- Pros
>weekly shows are paced far better than they used to be
>allows wrestlers to sink or swim on their own merit
>really good at paying off long storylines
>incredibly good at the cross promotion and celebrity usage
>balances workrate/sports entertainment pretty well
- Cons
>very orthodox as a booker, when he has an idea in place he very rarely calls audibles or deviates from the long term plan
>obvious favoritism to his black and gold guys who keep getting chances when better talent are left collecting dust
>only really cares about the main event scene
>over reliance on stables as a crutch
>ple's don't have enough matches

HBK
- Pros
>features his entire roster as much as possible
>is willing to push the envelope and take risky booking decisions
>paces a show incredibly well
>doesn't take the booking too seriously and allows the talent to find themselves
>changes things up often enough that the show never feels stale
>a lot more character work and backstage segments than other shows
- Cons
>serious feuds/promos never really work
>main event angles are often heatless
>men's division tends to feature too many dimeless indie guys who are clogging the pipeline for the nil athletes
>risky booking can backfire and end up with a terrible angle

TK
- Pros
>books exactly like his fans want
>features the hottest in ring talents in the world and generally lets them do their thing
>books good heat angles
- Cons
>provides no followup on heat angles
>wrestlers go hot and cold all the time
>storylines often don't have consequences leading to them feeling pointless
>booking the way he does is a novelty and can't sustain itself for more than a few years
>lets wrestlers bury themselves without realizing it
