The Dwayne was already a heel before he even returned to WWE. He may have expected a babyface return, but after fans got over the initial surprise, he was getting booed within a week. And rightly so.

That's Triple H. Cody has been booked as nothing but a completely uneventful champion since he won at Mania. What the fuck was even that Raw after? Both shows that week should have been the entire roster throwing a big party and celebrating Cody being the guy who finally did what the rest of them couldn't and take down Roman and end his title reign. Instead he's shoved into a completely heatless title match against a guy coming off of a 50/50 booking feud. It's been complete trash the entire time and it's clear they're going to put the belt on Solo at Summerslam and pick right back up with the Roman and Rock story they had wanted to do last year

The RAW after Mania should have been Rock promising to make Cody's run as champion a living hell. As he is on the TKO board, he is the boss of HHH, of Nick Aldis and of Cody. He's going to go away to Hollywood once again but he'll have his people put the odds against Cody every week. Its for sure recycling Austin/McMahon but its the only thing that makes sense and gives Cody's run something tangible. Now he's ultimately playing second fiddle to the Bloodline angle.
