>>15349135>Cody vs OrtonAnd yet we don't know how they'll get there because WWE has been saving it up. They could have been thrown together pre-Orton injury or any time since his return and they haven't pulled the trigger yet. Why? Because it's important to develop a multi-threaded approach - and by multi, I don't mean exactly two - "I'm beating you up today, and hey, remember when I beat you up a decade ago?", that's not compelling enough
You call other people disingenuous but then you sit here and act like the only part, or the majority part, of Cody wanting to win the WWE title is just because Dusty didn't win it. That's bullshit, that's just as disingenuous and you know it. The story is that Cody had to leave WWE and wander all over the world in various wrestling promotions to re-acquire that spark, that determination - and once he returned, he had a 2 year gauntlet through some of the baddest dudes in the industry, culminating in a victory over the most dominant (by length of reign) champion of the last 4 decades
People who talk about AEW stories want more depth and more development. MJF/Ospreay could have had more depth and development on that SAME SHOW - MJF could have opened the show calling Ospreay a piece of shit, telling him he's going to put him on the shelf like he did Garcia, yadda yadda, followed by Ospreay coming out and giving MJF a piece of his mind, rushing the ring, have a pull-apart - have Daniels come out to restore order, then say "This match was going to take place later tonight.....but I think instead of that, the match will start RIGHT NOW".........and do the same match 30 minutes time limit instead of 60.
But Tony as a stylistic choice chose to do 60 instead. And that's fine. It's his wrestling company. But let's not sit here and act like wrestling fans AREN'T ALLOWED to critique decisions like those without haphazardly being labeled as "disingenuous".
