It's when you're using the multiview to watch different channels at once. You're getting the NBC feed, the USA Network feed, CNBC, E, all these different broadcasts, and they have to make sure that you're hearing the commercials on one of them when you're in that view. You can still close out of a broadcast and watch something else. You just can't switch during ads in the multiview.

Why pay for the "premium ad-free service" when 6 months from now the jews will decide they need more money and rearrange their packages so that you need to pay double for the ultra mega deluxe premium package to really get rid of commercials. And of course after that they'll find another way to sneak ads into that package and you're back to where you started except you're giving 3 times as much as just a basic deal.

Netflix streaming was originally a bonus that was added onto your DVD rental subscription. It was basically a way to have a handful of titles that you could watch as part of your subscription. Hulu was originally started as a free ad-supported service. No one ever said that the main draw of streaming is that there's no ads.

They received investment, because it served the interests of where those investors wanted to take the market and the world. There are new companies whose annual turnovers make profit, but still get annihilated. If it's where they want things to go, they are prepared to lose hundreds of millions, year on year.
