in all honesty, both Trips and Tony are bookers with shitty taste in booking wrestling. even Bloodline-era Vince McMahon was on a higher level compared to these two.

HHH's NXT was a complete smoke and mirrors show. It effectively ran off of a super indie formula, which is why the Takeovers worked well. You didn't need to follow the weekly show to enjoy them. AEW tried to replicate that feeling with a shallower talent pool. Also, the super indie format has proven to be impossible with any more than 2 hours of weekly TV content.
