Danhausen “burnt a lot of bridges in AEW”

Per Ibou of Wrestlepurists:
>Orange Cassidy really stuck his neck out to get Danhausen hired in the first place; Tony Khan really respects OC and will hire somebody if OC vouches for them. Unfortunately, in all the Punk fallout, OC and Danhausen are no longer friends.
>OC was one of many people banned from Punk’s Collision. He was on the poster for the show but didn’t make an appearance until Punk was gone. Punk supposedly felt like OC was “elite aligned”, which is a very misguided thing to think, and Danhausen basically picked Punk over OC during this time. Danhausen was never booked on Collision either, it’s worth noting.
>OC is one of the most beloved guys in the locker room, and Danhausen absolutely bet on the wrong horse in this moment. He burnt a ton of bridges, which is why he was struggling to even get Indy dates for a while. There’s the hope that he gets signed to WWE but, let’s face it, that doesn’t seem very likely in the current climate.
>one person backstage at AEW said the whole thing was “depressing”, noting that Danhausen “was like a kid who gets a new, older friend and suddenly dumps all his old friends, then turns into an asshole”.
