The point of argumentation people bring up in favor of hormone blockers/HRT is exactly this issue, once they go through puberty, their body changes beyond recognition, and while HRT WILL have effects on them, it will never be able to help them to the same extent that doing it BEFORE going through natural puberty will. While you are completely right that they can grow out of it, it's also not right to be dismissive of that the large percentage that doesn't.
