AEW is barely even relevant. They just hire indie guys and old retiring stars.
What we should be asking is why literally no one else to come into wrestling after 2003 other than Roman has been able to develop that aura when enough people during the Attitude Era had it that you could easily rely on one when another got injured. Rhea Ripley might eventually fit the bill but she's a woman.
