anyway first minute of the match mox does a shitty dive off the ramp and bumps his head pretty bad, he's groggy the whole awkard match.
he was still scheduled to retain, and he kept working through it even though he seemed quite concussed already
but then this move completely fucked him, dropped him on his head, couldnt even get his arm up
fenix realises then he has to go over, so redoes the move and drops him on his head a 3rd time (lol) and unexpectedly gets the win and the belt
so many things went wrong
- first mox being a shitter and doing stupid clumsy dives he has no business doing
- secondly mox going on with the match instead of calling it off (not like it was the main event or the world title, just call it off dude, work it into the story - you'll have to eventually anyway, even if you get through this match, youre gonna on on the shelf))
- thirdly the ref not being strong and bold enough to make a call and put his foot down and end the match
- fourth TK and everyone in the back letting it go own from gorilla, not making an executive decision based on the way mox was moving, obviously groggy
- fifth, both mox and fenix not at least trying to avoid head moves on mox
- sixth, fenix actually botching the driver and seriously dropping mox on his head (like if youre still gonna do head focused moves, at least do them extra safely, dont botch, dont even come close to dropping him on him head)
- seventh, fenix doing the driver AGAIN and botching and legit dropping this already concussed man on his head AGAIN
absolute shitshow
i really want aew to succeed, i hate wwe, but this was appalling, this shit would have never happened in modern wwe
