For ferrets, they have a very weird perspective on what they view as a potential predator, so are generally super confident. However they do still have the superpowered hearing of dogs, so fireworks can still startle them, albeit more just a "Oh shit, the fucking vietnamese have returned and are shooting at me" response than whimpering in the corner. But generally they will rarely care. Mostly because they spend like 19 hours a day sleeping and it would take a flesh-eating were brock lesnar in order to wake them most of the time.
