But this is a bad sign for AEW's future.
WBD is clearly downsizing. AEW doesn't turn a profit. And the rights are running out soon. So for WBD it's an easy cut. Tony is hard headed and thinks AEW deserves comparable rights deals to WWE. WWE's shows all got increases. Tony believes AEW also deserves an increase. But he's asking for an increase from a company that is struggling and selling assets to survive. And he's asking for AEW, a company that is operating in the red and has operated in the red for half a decade now.
