>>15453496Previously yeah. That's what their entire fan base was. That's what a lot of the attitude around their roster and shows were. They've since shifted things. They are more story oriented now. They're working to become their own thing. In that they did lose a significant part of their audience for sure. The people who were only watching because WWE was bad have gone back to watching WWE. The people who only liked them because they were anti-WWE don't like them anymore either because they've moved on from that. Of course that leaves them in the spot they've been and they're not going to rebuild an audience overnight and it's only going to happen even slower when WWE is on top and doing as well as they are
It's always been WWE's game to lose. They have more of a direct influence on AEW than anything AEW can directly do themselves. We've seen this with however many big signings AEW has made. And they have been big, but the people who are watching are watching. It's on WWE to slip up and have some of their fans migrate over again which so far hasn't happened yet
