Rwandans are primarily Catholic, which he is likely, as there are news stories of the family being religious. But he's being seen as emblematic of the overall immigrant problem. The way Rotterdam, Dunblane, etc. all went down - it wasn't Brits who did it. So the violence is spreading outward to those visibly immigrant. For all we know the issue could have been "Those girls are learning twerking and that offends god" but it doesn't matter because he will be yet another in a long line of poster children for the problematic immigrant.
