>>15465322That's a great point, I had forgotten about that. Yes, WWE moved to pushing quantity (network subscriptions for all) over quality (gather-in-one-house PPV prices). DVD/Blu-Ray sales also took a mega-hit, so royalties are much smaller for legend wrestlers who aren't moving merchandise (Rock, Austin, NWO, etc)
If NBA/MLB/NFL teams can find a way to distribute playoff money to players, I'm sure WWE can find a way to get everyone WM bonuses without being on the card - giving them 5-10+ tickets (possibly some plane tickets as well) would be a good start.
WWE isn't as generous as Tony Khan but ppl take less in salary to be there, even as jobbers -- and cry on social media when they get released despite minimal usage -- for a reason.
