>>15470674the main roster is really going through a drought of women's talent right now, specifically at the top of the card, main event level. it's not as bad as it is on smackdown, but as of writing, raw really only has 3 viable women to compete for the belt - liv, rhea and IYO. if they wanna keep the strap on liv, as they should, rhea can't challenge for it in no build up rapid succession without it getting stupid, so rhea is minorly on the backburner for a bit. but asuka is still out, lexi is still out, becky is in the shadow realm - the only other plausible contender is iyo, who has her own storylines and plot not crossing over with the judgment day stuff.
i think a sky pirates face run is coming. it just makes sense. it lets liv have her run with room to breathe, gives kairi something to do, lets iyo prove she's the ring general she was brought here to be. by the time the women's main event scene is more fleshed out again early next year, it'll be time for liv to drop it, they might put iyo back in that arena and maybe by then the midcard women's belts will be implemented, giving kairi an angle. a sky pirates run is the perfect thing to bridge that gap.
