I'm an ignorant fan of wrestling, I had only seen his FMW stuff with Foley. So when he died, I actually went back and watched his classic matches and promos and holy shit this dead nigga ruined wrestling for me since it was all so good. I honestly can't really watch modern wrestling anymore and enjoy it all that much once I fell down the Funk rabbit hole and he got me watching classic stuff from all the old timers and I'm afraid to confirm the boomers and gen x-ers are actually right about old wrestling

Gotta love the Funker, ya just gotta. My favorite of his matches are the 2 in ECW where the crowd started throwing chairs in the ring. One he tagged with Foley and the other was with his brother. every wrestling show should end like that.

because he's a real guy, using real pain and real experiences. you don't get men like him anymore in wrestling, he was simply a product of a different time and lifestyle. most wrestlers today don't have that life experience nor really the stuggles the guys of his era had, they just larp at best
